Failure to Meet Carbon-Cutting Goals

We discuss a UN report on countries’ failure to meet carbon emission-cutting goals.¬† ¬†They discuss the likelihood that climate control will fail, and whether sociology has any role to play in the face of future environmental problems.

Chrstine Percheski is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Northwestern University. Christine recently co-published two studies on union dissolution: a 2017 article in PLOS One, “Health behaviors and union dissolution among parents of young children: Differences by marital status” and “Health and Union Dissolution among Parenting Couples: Differences by Gender and Marital Status” in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior.  

Joseph Nathan Cohen co-hosts The Annex and directs the Sociocast Project. He is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the City University of New York, Queens College.
